The bird is believed to have been hit by the passenger train between Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Stations in Milton Keynes. On the trains return journey, technician Andrew McKeown spotted the injured bird by the track and had the train stopped so he could care for it until the RSPCA arrived...The buzzard's femur has been pinned (with a intramedullary pin) by a vet a St Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital and amazingly is already starting to try to stand on his leg only a day after the operation.
