**ALL ROUND PICTURES FROM SOLARPIX.COM**.**WORLDWIDE SYNDICATION RIGHTS**.Under the new Portimao bridge are the Mexilheira salt beds where sea salt is still made in the traditional way. The scarecrows are in fact to scare away the seagulls who would otherwise leave their droppings and spoil the salt. They might not look impressive to the human eye, but there are no seagulls to be seen anywhere around the salt beds..This pic: Mexilheira Salt Beds..JOB REF: 4415 PPL DATE: 31_07_2007.**MUST CREDIT SOLARPIX.COM OR DOUBLE FEE WILL BE CHARGED* *UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS THIS IMAGE TO BE REPRODUCED FOR ANY ONLINE EDITION WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION*
